Cheers to a beautiful Sunday afternoon celebrating my momma's birthday today at Blue Tijuana,  a small local Mexican restaurant with awesome food and reasonable!  Service was caring and friendly. And after tasting her frozen margarita I just HAD to have my own and move my water glass aside.
    WOW.
One of the BEST brain freeze Margaritas ever.   Had to 'drink'  it with my fork just about til this point.  Potent and cold til the very last drop

This restaurant has a good location and good foods, but very bad management. Be careful before you go there, because they robbing customers.

I like fajitas of this place and always go there with friends to eat. We never looked at the check in details. Just paid whatever they asked.

But last night. I went with a friend, he doesn't wanted eat any thing, so I just asked for mix fajita and a soda.

I gave the survey my credit card to charge. He came with a receipt of $36.10. I got surprised that how it can be $36. When asked for breakdown.

He gave me a check which shows $1.08 service fee and then $5.62 (20%) gratuity was added automatically.

It was very upsetting. I asked the server what's service fee and why 20% gratuity is added for one person? He had no answer.

I like to pay tips, but I want write it on my pen. Some restaurants add automatic gratuity when guests are more than four people. But I never seen some thing like this for one person.

I'm so upset and will never go to this place again.

Gave this place a shot based on reviews and overall rating...Very surprised that every review (good and bad) here says that the food is good lol. The food is atrocious, ordered the quesadilla and steak tacos and boy do I NOT recommend those menu options.

    1. Quesadilla is served as three empanadas (NOT a quesadilla), the dough taste like arepa, greasy, filled with cheese and a side of guac? Lol. (Roughly $8)

    2. Steak Tacos (three of them) are served with flour tortillas (NOT corn) small side of rice and beans (mediocre) and a side of guac. Not a filling meal, for $21 i thought I'd get a plate like the one you get in 5 Boro Cafe (Steak burritos, I recommend in Forest Hills)

As for drinks, the mojito tasted like juice, had to order extra shots of tequila for balance. (Added a star bc I broke their shot glasses after placing one into the other, cheap glasses or don't know my own strength?? Either way, my bad!)

Sidenote: the place was very empty (maybe two other tables filled) and took a long time to get our food.

Wouldn't give this place another chance.

Good food but location is in an area overwhelmingly disgusting while your eating wear ear plugs real snug plugged into your ears vibrating loud Spanish club house music that gets into your ears to your nerves where you wanna just get up and leave it's not a good quick environment totally a strip lap pole dancing it's perfect for the elements of class of people who prefer that kind of eating not for me and last time I'll Eat there! This is your view or what you will be watching while you enter to the place very dirty outside environment! I wouldn't trust bringing my family to eat there not our way of dining out! It's gay friendly but that don't impress me at all!
